My husband and I came out for a few days and overheard some people at the pool talk about this place! They specifically said sit at the bar so we did! The place is adorable, clean and an overall great vibe. Staff were friendly and the bartender was fun! Pretty sure we sat by the owner as well and he was a blast! The food was yummy! We will be back!

Had dinner there tonight. The rain kind of messed things up, but Riley the hostess dealt with us kindly and let us know what was happening, and that we would have to wait while they dealt with that. Others who may have jumped the line were dealt with kindness and patience. Ashley the waitress was wonderful, made a great suggestion for me and invited me back for my impending 60th bday. The food was delicious and high we knew it would be. All in all, go and enjoy dinner here with their great staff.

We enjoyed breakfast here while staying at the Alcatel Hotel. Our server was Sofia, who was very attentive and checked in with us often. My eggs were perfectly scrambled to my taste and the portions were large, and the coffee was hot. A wonderful breakfast experience!

Really not sure how this birthday lunch for one of my lifelong friends could have been more perfect. Ordered the double soft shell crab blt, the seared ahi tuna salad and truffle fries. And yes, cocktails. The soft shell crab sandwich was the absolute standout. The tarragon aioli and the brioche bun make this sandwich sing a full rendition of happy birthday. And the seared tuna was on point. Quality all the way! But what made this day so special was our server Christy (sp?). Delightful, attentive, fun and dialed in. If I could squeeze her into a takeout bag, she'd be co-writing this with me. Thank you for making this day so special! In a world where hospitality can sometimes be less than hospitable, this place meets all expectations. Thank you.

Service was excellent. I enjoyed my steak frites. My dinner companions enjoyed their salmon, filet mignon, and eggplant tower with chicken added. It was a bit pricey but our server was the best. Downside is there is only one bathroom so it can be a wait.

4 of us made reservations on a Tuesday, for 5pm, and were the only ones in the patio area for over 30 minutes. When we left, about an hour later, most tables were filled, a few still open. Cocktails are well made. The bartender made me a version of Tequila Mockingbird (which I had a loved a few years ago) and it was excellent. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Salmon was cooked perfectly with savory accompaniments. I left with a couple of mosquito bites, something to consider when sitting in the patio. I suspect sitting at the bar may lessen the chances of this. They light citronella candles, but they are not really effective at keeping the mosquitos away. The big downside was the constant feeling of being rushed. The first thing you see on the website is to "...NOT PROLONG YOUR DINING EXPERIENCE." and boy do they mean it. It was not busy and I didn't see anyone waiting even when we left. We ordered drinks right away, and were beginning to peruse the menu when our server asked if we were ready to order. We asked for a few more minutes. About 2 minutes later (drinks had not arrived yet) she came back and asked again. We had a couple of questions, which she answered, and let her know we needed a little more time to decide. 2 minutes later she was back. So we ordered, feeling pressured. We would have made choices in under 15 minutes, but the multiple, frequent, check ins was uncomfortable. Then the drinks arrived. We were asked before we were done if they could wrap anything up for us. We were still eating. Approximately 35 minutes had passed since our arrival. When we were done, and ordered dessert, it came in a to go box. We let our server know we ordered it to eat there and she apologized and brought it back on a dish. Our total bill was over $300, it would have been nice to enjoy the meal without feeling rushed.

Jake, oh how I love thee! The first time I came here, I was on a solo trip to Palm Springs for some much needed R/R. I went around happy hour where I walked right in and sat at the bar. Cannot honestly tell you which two margaritas I had, but what I can tell you is that I will never forget how fresh they were! All of the staff were exceptional and did every recommendation justice, as everyone is markedly passionate about whatever it is they share with you as their personal favorite. Recently, I was able to try out their dinner menu with a close friend of mine. While it's kinda small, I really love sitting in their covered patio area that surrounds the bar. For my dinner cocktail, I tried the "Throes of Passion" which was incredible! Served in a martini glass, plenty strong, and paired very well with the fruit juice blend -- also very fresh. My friend, who's a sucker for mezcal drinks, ordered the "Cactus Pear Margarita" which he swooned over repeatedly three rounds over. As an appetizer, we had the "Jake's Wedge" which we split. This was good, though probably not the best wedge I've had. Definitely satisfied the hunger for a bit without overwhelming me before my entree came. For dinner, I had what I'm sure is the absolute best Chilean sea bass I have ever had. The fish practically melted in your mouth and paired flawlessly with the ponzu sauce it was prepared in, and did a nice job of pulling it in with the mashed potatoes and asparagus it was served with. My friend had the filet mignon which was served with the same (mashed potatoes + asparagus) as well as some grilled carrots. He ordered it medium and it was cooked to perfection. Also, swooned. Though, I'll admit my favorite thing about Jake's is their dessert menu that is full of delicious options of these gigantic slices of cake. Not sure if they rotate seasonally, or otherwise, but the citrus cake is amazing and comes highly recommended. Really reminds me of what it is if you were to make rainbow sherbet into a slice of cake. Lastly, I'd just like to give a nod to the incredible service we received though, I honestly cannot remember a single soul's name who helped us and there were a few between my two visits. Nonetheless, you are in great hands at Jake's morning, day, or night, assured.

Great find on our way from NorCal down to Phoenix. Loved the outdoor courtyard for lunch, the Monte Cubano combining my two favorite sandwiches onto one excellent meal, with nice regional craft beers and a killer craft cocktail menu as well And then there's the amazing dessert menu with all the cakes made in-house. The German Chocolate Cake with espresso buttercream - there's a cup of coffee inside the cake! The fantastic service from Esteban capped off a perfect afternoon
